Pay per seat, in Canadian dollars

Paid plans are billed per seat. Prices are shown in Canadian dollars before you pay. The Free plan needs no payment.

Cancel any time

Cancelling stops renewal. Your seats stay active until the end of the period you paid for. No refunds are issued.

We cannot read or recover your content

End-to-end encryption means Canium holds no keys. What we cannot read, we cannot restore.


01. Who We Are

Canium Inc. is a Canadian company. These terms are a contract between you and Canium Inc. for the use of the Canium platform, including the web application, the desktop and mobile applications, and the services behind them.

By creating an account or using the platform you accept these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind it.

02. Definitions

PlatformThe Canium applications and services, including messaging, channels, direct messages, calls and meetings.
AccountA personal login belonging to one individual.
OrganizationA workspace in which members share channels and meetings. An organization is on one plan at a time.
AdministratorA member of an organization who manages its members, invitations, plan and billing.
PlanThe tier an organization is on: Free, Pro or Regulated. Each plan carries the limits shown in the application.
SeatA paid unit of membership in an organization on a paid plan. One seat covers one member.
SubscriptionA recurring purchase of seats on a paid plan, billed by our payment processor.
ContentMessages, files, call and meeting audio and video, and anything else you send through the platform.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.

OverdueA renewal payment failed and the payment processor is retrying it.Full access continues for every member while retries run. Update your payment method to avoid interruption.
DeactivatedThe subscription ended and the organization has no active seats.Members cannot use the organization. Administrators keep access so the plan can be restored.

Deactivation withdraws access only. The organization keeps its plan, its members, its channels and its content. Nothing is downgraded and nothing is deleted at that point. An administrator restores access by assigning active seats to the organization, which may require a new subscription.

You may not use the platform to:

Canium cannot see the content of your communications and does not moderate it. Responsibility for what members send rests with them and with their organization. Enforcement of these rules relies on reports, on account and organization metadata, and on activity that reaches Canium's own systems. Security researchers are welcome to report findings under our responsible disclosure policy.

Canium may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email and in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after that period is acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not accept a change, stop using the platform and delete your account before the change takes effect.

These terms are available in English and French. In case of a difference between the versions, the English version governs, except where the law requires otherwise.
